"Right To Information" to EXPOSE the Government

On July 10 Youth for Equality's IP University Chapter (Delhi) invoked the RTI Act aganist the Divisive Politics of the governement.

In a press conference held at the IPU campus (despite the tatical moves made by the IPU director to thwart the conference) it was announced that information about- (1) the number of seats available in each of the Reserved categories and those in the Open Category, (2) the number of seats that get filled up in each of these categories, (3) the number of students in each of these categories whose family income is greater than Rs. 2 lakhs, and (4) the lowest marks/grades in qualifying/entrance exams and the highest marks/grades in the final university exams for each of these categories- has been sought from Central/State universities/institutes from all across the country.

We believe that the above information will be very helpful in exposing the illusion created by Reservation.

An RTI was also filed to corner Ramadoss- the greatest threat-symbol to the autonomy of educational institutes in our country. YFE eagerly awaits what the unsrupulous doctor has to say in his defence.
